Strategy: Concentrated Small Cap Strategy
Warren Isabelle is the lead Portfolio Manager, with Don Collins as the back-up, for this separately managed portfolio of 18 to 25 of our most compelling ideas. With market capitalization under $1 billion at the time of purchase and using the Ironwood investment approach, the companies in this strategy are selected when we feel the current share price does not accurately reflect the long-term economic value and potential of the company. We generally take larger positions in this strategy and our holding period is usually a shorter than our other strategies.
Ironwood Capital's Concentrated Small Cap Value Strategy is fully invested in undervalued securities with market caps under $1.0 billion at time of purchase. Utilizing the same investment approach as our Small Cap Value Strategy, companies are selected when management believes the current share price does not reflect the long-term economic value of the company. Concentrated Small Cap Value represents our best ideas and usually holds less than 25 names.
